MATLAB Installation Guide: "Downloaded installer file — Use the unzip command to extract the files from the archive file that you downloaded from the MathWorks website. After extracting the files, execute the installer command: ./install" Then:
lucas@lucas-K55VD:~/Desktop/matlab_R2015a_glnxa64$ dir
activate.ini install license_agreement.txt trademarks.txt
archives installer_input.txt patents.txt
bin install_guide.pdf readme.txt
help java sys
lucas@lucas-K55VD:~/Desktop/matlab_R2015a_glnxa64$ ./install
Preparing installation files ...
Installing ...
Finished
What should happen next? Because that's it and nothing else happens.

Hey Lucas,
It looks like you are having the same issue as described in this post:
According to that link, there are 3 possible causes that all have additional posts linked. If none of them help you out, you should probably contact MathWorks Technical Support to see if there is something else going on.
Hope that helps,
-Adam
