Problem with solving

Here is short programming: tau = input('Enter the value of tau: '); b = pi*(1-2*tau)/tau; syms x; solve('sin(x) = x + b') while trying to run this, it is showing 'Error using ==> solve Unable to find closed form solution'. But if I put the value of 'b' separately, it executes and shows the value for x. So, how this problem can be solved? What should be the format so that it could be done?
Thanks

tau = input('Enter the value of tau: ');
b = pi*(1-2*tau)/tau;
syms x;
result = solve(sin(x) - x - b)
