how to create feature vector of projection profile?

hello friends, I am working on offline handwritten math expression recognition. I am using projection profile feature extraction technique. I have used pV=sum(image,1); for vertical projection and pH=sum(image,2); for horizontal projection. but I want to make feature vector of them. I need a code for creating feature vector.
