I have a homework question like the following. I know how to plot the function using the syntax subplot. I just never learned the linear-linear plot, log-linear plot,linear-log plot and log-log plot. Could someone explain these to me?
Consider the function f(n)=n×log2(n)
write a MatLab function to express this function
2.1 Construct a figure containing four graphs in a 2x2 arrangement (using “subplot”).
2.1.1 In the first subplot plot f(n) in a linear-linear plot
2.1.2 In the second subplot plot f(n) in a log-linear plot
2.1.3 In the third subplot plot f(n) in a linear-log plot
2.1.4 In the fourth subplot show the function in a log-log plot

See this picture: http://blogs-images.forbes.com/naomirobbins/files/2012/01/linear_log.jpg In the first one you have a linear scale, and in the second one you have a logaritmic scale. I hope this can help you. Regards
