database in matlab to save images ?

hey i wanna create a database for my matlab project in which i have to save some numarical data as well as pictures of individuals and some videos also .. any one help me out in it that how to create database in matlab ..is it a part of matlab of i have to use some other database like sql or oracle . thankx
