In my program I am asking for user input for a 3 dimensional vector X. My example equation is Y=X(1)^3+2*X(2)^2+4*X(3). Now I want to calculate the gradient of the equation. My initial thought was to do gradient(Y, [X]) but that creates an error. I've also tried gradient(Y, [X(1), X(2),X(3)]). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The first example should show you how to set up your code.
