How to write a program to draw a diamond of stars in MATLAB?

I have a exam and don't know how to write a program to draw a triangle of stars (use : while and if and for), for example :

             *
            ***
           *****
          *******
           *****
            ***
             *

I'm suffering from this. Please help me.
