Generation of Basic safety Message with canTool in Matlab

I have intention to generate Basic Safety Messages (BSMs) for VANET analysis. Can I generate such that using such node and what are the possibilities of adding malicious nodes in the BSMs using Matlab. I need clues. Thanks Elvin
