How do I connect to Thomson Reuters Eikon in MATLAB R2017b?
I am interested in establishing connections to Thomson Reuters Datastream API.

Unfortunately, support to Thomson Reuters Eikon has been removed in R2016a because we no longer support 32-bits Windows, and Thomson Reuters Eikon is only available as a 32-bit application. Please refer to the following release notes for more information on compatibility considerations:
In order to establish connections to Thomson Reuters Datastream API you can use the "datastream" function from the Datafeed Toolbox. Please refer to the following link for more information on using this function:

Total bullshit!
Starting year 2017 there is .NET Eikon Data APIs with 64-bit libraries, which could be used to connect from x64 applications. See here: https://github.com/Refinitiv-API-Samples/Article.EikonDataAPI.DotNet.Library
However Matworks prefered to dicommission Eikon connectivity at all, instead of renewing connector code.
