Live Script Not working

Hello,
I cannot use Matlab's Live Editor in any way. I've tried different routers, a phone hotspot, and doing it offline. I've restarted the program and computer plenty of times along with upgrading to 2018b (from 2018a). I'm currently using my school's wifi network, but it didn't work on my home network either.
I need a live script for an assignment due tomorrow, so any help is very much appreciated. My code is done, I just need to make it presentable.
Here's what happens when I open a new live script (see images):
This webpage is not available
ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED
The server at localhost can't be found, because the
DNS lookup failed. DNS is the network service that
translates a website's name to its Internet address.
This error is most often caused by having no connection
to the Internet or a misconfigured network.
It can also be caused by an unresponsive DNS server or
a firewall preventing Chrome from accessing the network.
Thank you very much.

Thanks for the feedback! I'm using a Mac, and my firewall is turned off.

"ping localhost" didn't work from my computer. Once this was resolved, it was back to working again.

How did you resolve it? It seems weird that you'd be able to get the public internet via a browser (Chrome, Safari) but not be able to even ping your own computer (the local host). You should always be able to see your own computer even if you can't see outside/public web sites, as far as I know. But you said you saw just the opposite. What turned out to be the problem?

I don't know if you have a problem using Live Editor, or you have a problem getting to your homework problem because of some internet connection problem.
If you just need to create a script, you can make a regular .m file. It does not need to be a Live Script .mlx file.
If there is some web page you can't get to to get your homework assignment, or even some starting script that you need to modify, then try a different browser or check your internet setup. If you can't get to it from Chrome or any browser, then it's not a MATLAB problem.

Thanks for the input. I have a script that I'd like to recreate using Live Editor so it's presentable and more understandable.
What do you mean by "try a different browser"?
On Safari, the example live editor (https://www.mathworks.com/products/matlab/live-editor.html) seems to work. It also works on Chrome. My MATLAB application on Mac is what's causing the problems mentioned though.
What do you mean by "check your internet setup"? My Matlab seems to connect just fine if I run the function "web".
Overall I just want to create a live script from my computer.
