I've made a plot of the truss bridge in 2D. How can I use Matlab to predict the maximum load that it can take when hanging from the centre of the top part of the bridge before breaking?

Hi Evan,
If you're familiar with Statics and Mechanics of Materials you can use the file attached to solve your truss and then use the information about the truss' material (Young's modulus,...) to estimate maximum load that it can handle before it breaks.
