I am trying to start MATLAB after installing it on my computer (ubuntu18.04), but I receive the following error message, and MATLAB fails to start:
Fatal Internal Error: Unexpected exception: 'N14cmddistributor16RuntimeExceptionE: Internal Error: No write permission on directory /home/power/.matlab/R2017a/temp0x120f0x385a. Details: fl:filesystem:AccessDenied.' in createMVMAndCallParser phase 'Creating local MVM'.
Best regards !

It appears that you do not have permission to create files in /home/power/.matlab/R2017a
