Is there a method for initializing the plot window in a live script?
Current I initialise a figure in the cmd window like so:
figure(1)
The from my live script plot
figure(1)
plot(someData)
This will plot someData in the figure window rather than live script output, great, but it's a bit clunky and kind of irritating to do everytime I hit run.

You can get the figure to pop-out of the Live Editor in its own window by setting its "Visibible" property to 'on'. For example:
plot(1:10)
set(gcf,'Visible','on')
