Hello it appears that the main problem is that many of your values are evaluated by matlab as infinity. This is because of your massive exponents such as 10^335. Is this really the value you meant because that number is larger than the number of atoms in the universe.

Your equation is a quadratic equation in x of the form a(l,h)*x^2+b(l,h)*x+c(l,h)=0.
You should be able to solve for x using paper and pencil.
