Fortunately I am not the only one who has noticed it. Kind of disappointed, I was thinking to use it lately.

Hi,
Can you please confirm that in 2020a release there is no way to read real time data from mobile sensors from the Matlab desktop session? Or there is any new way to do it?
If this is not the case...Why removing a functionality that worked so good? It was very useful for my Matlab university courses, very disappointed with that...
Thank you,

There is mobiledev object, which can be used for getting data from sensors and saving logs to MATLAB Drive, it can provide "nearly realtime" data from sensors. The delay is down to how fast your MATLAB Drive can sync data created there by your phone. Also one major limitartion is that a script which is reading sensors data on your phone is running in MATLAB Cloud, so its execution time is limited to 4 minutes.
