i convert the image in im2bw format. then i extract the boundary the using 8-connected method .but i can't separate to single object boundary from multiple object .please any one give the coding how to split the single object from multiple object...

Why dont you use BWLABEL to label different objects and then separate objects can be identified based on separate lables

Use bwboundaries() - it will get you the boundaries of all the individual regions in your binary image. See my image segmentation demo where I do that: http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/?term=authorid%3A31862 This demo also gives you individual regions by cropping them out of the original multi-object image.
