i see this problem

When you use inline() [which should be only if you have a need to prove that you can use inline], then you should define all of the variables you expect to use in the function, and their order.
a=0
b=2
y=5
x=1/2
f1=inline('(1+x^2)/(sqrt(x)+3)', 'x')
f2=inline('(1+x^2)/(sqrt(x)+3)', 'a', 'b', 'x')
f3=inline('(1+x^2)/(sqrt(x)+3)', 'x', 'y')
f4=inline('(1+x^2)/(sqrt(x)+3)', 'a', 'x', 'b', 'y')
f1=feval(f1,x)
f2=feval(f2,a,b,x)
f3=feval(f3,x,y)
f4=feval(f4,a,x,b,y)
