confused with atan2d for negative number

hi,
why is atan2d(-3,-1) is diffrent than atan2d(3,1)?

Because you measure the angle in a different quadrant. It's not the same -20 degrees than 20 degrees. Matlab documentation is very explicative, visit it for further details.
