When I click on a .mac file to download it, Safari brings me to a blank page and nothing happens.

This bug has been fixed in Release 2007a (R2007a). For previous product releases, read below for any possible workarounds:
This error will occur if you are using Safari as your web browser. Using another browser like Internet Explorer, Netscape, or Firefox will avoid this error.
NOTE: There is another issue with the Safari Web browser in which it takes all files with a .mac, .common, or .ftp extension, and adds a .tar extension to them. See the following solution for more information on this issue.
If you would like to use Safari, use the following instructions to download .mac files from MathWorks website:
1. Right click the link to open a menu box. If your mouse does not have a right click, then hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard and click your mouse.
2. Select "Download Linked File As...".
3. Choose where you would like to save the file to.
4. Click the "Save" button.
Repeat the above steps for each .mac file you would like to download.
