Key Characteristics of a Quasi-Square Wave Inverter:
  • Output waveform: Multi-step square wave (resembles a sine wave more than a pure square wave)
  • Harmonics: Reduced compared to a square wave, but still significant
  • Switching: Typically 3 or more steps per half-cycle
  • Common step levels: 0, +V, 0, –V (adds "zero-voltage dwell" between positive and negative pulses)
