The Relative Gain Array (RGA) is a useful tool for control structure design, which include input and output selection and input-output pairing. This tool calculates the RGA and recommends a set of pairings if the gain is a square matrix. For non-square systems, this tool provides the general RGA and index for input (output) selection, i.e. the so called input (output) effectiveness.
