The model is an example fuzzy controller with a self tuning gain to control an automotive high pressure egr valve. The egr valve is a limited angle brushless torque motor. As the bldc motor rotates, a cam lever opens and closes the egr passage. A 12v pwm duty cycle is supplied to power the motor. As the motor rotates the egr valve opens and a return spring closes the valve when power is removed.
