I was born in Athens, Greece and completed Diploma studies in Applied Mathematics with focus in Applied Mechanics and Statistics at the National Technical University of Athens while I wrote my Diploma Thesis on Contact Mechanics at the Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic during my semester abroad. I then completed master studies in Computational Mechanics and doctoral studies in Computational Engineering at the Technical University of Munich with focus in the integration of Design and Analysis for surface coupled problems. During my postdoctoral research I was mainly occupied with uncertainty quantification and stochastic optimization for high-rise buildings against wind among others. In my free time, I enjoy cycling, swimming and sailing.
