Peter Gorman
ex BAE Systems, now retired

I have been a user of Matlab since the mid 1980s, when it was first marketed in the UK by Cambridge Control as a replacement for TSIM - anyone else remember this ground-breaking product? In the main I used Matlab to develop simulation and control systems in the aerospace, defence and underwater systems fields.
One of my regrets on taking early retirement from BAE Systems in 2009 was that I no longer had access to Matlab. So, imagine my absolute delight when, in 2015, I stumbled across the Home Version, available at a pensioner-affordable price! I am now struggling to re-create a small subset of the techniques I used on a daily basis through those 25 very enjoyable years.
