Description

Engineers at OEMs and supplier appreciate ADS2 (Avionics Development System 2G) as an integrated and scalable technology platform for prototyping, development, test, integration, and validation and verification of control systems. ADS2 follows a holistic approach and provides a complete solution that supports all their test areas and activities, including integration, verification and validation (IV&V) process, test methodology, generic test suites, test system core software, and test system hardware platform.

ADS2 hosts applications like simulations, test applications, scripts, monitoring and control panels, complex visualizations, and I/O resources, and runs all these types of applications in a well-defined, deterministic, and reproducible way. ADS2 exchanges data between these applications in the form of process variables always guaranteeing consistency.

The MATLAB® and Simulink® support is a layer on top of the C external application interface, which allows users to run MATLAB and Simulink simulations on any platform supported by ADS2. Simulations are executed as ADS2 components supporting DO-178B and DO-178C processes also in safety critical development.

The ADS2 MATLAB and Simulink support can be used to run code produced from MATLAB and Simulink models with Simulink Coder™ under the control of ADS2. The interface to ADS2 are source and sink ports, which are exported as global data structures.
