Getting Started with VEX Robotics Using MATLAB and Simulink, Part 5: Obstacle Detection using Ultrasonic Sensor
From the series: Getting Started with VEX Robotics Using MATLAB and Simulink
Gary Garber, BU Academy, Boston, MA
Use a Stateflow® chart to design a state machine that controls robot motion based on ultrasonic sensor reading. If the ultrasonic sensor detects an object or obstacle in front of it, then the robot comes to a stop. The video also shows the Simulink® model running on a VEX Cortex microcontroller-based robot.
