How to Do Agent-Based Modeling and Simulation with Simulink
Fu Zhang, a development manager and expert in Simulink® solvers and execution, discusses how you can use Simulink to model agent-based simulations. He uses simulations of lane merging of self-driving cars, in which several different types of cars with different driving strategies dynamically enter and leave the merging zone and have events to which they can react.
The agent-based modeling approach uses entities that are autonomous, heterogenous, parallel, and have different life spans.
