Overview
In this webinar, learn how you can quickly design a new motor control system using Embedded Coder® from MathWorks and Microchip MCUs. We walk through a demo of Simulink® running a 3-phase motor using the Microchip dsPICDEM™ MCLV-2 Development Board.
Microchip PIC® Microcontrollers and dsPIC® Digital Signal Controllers contain innovative motor control PWM peripherals including complimentary waveforms and dedicated time base. For applications that require variable speed with constant torque and field-oriented control for greater efficiency, the high-performance dsPIC DSC core includes DSP instructions for more precise control. Along with these unique hardware solutions, MathWorks provides software tools that enable modeling, simulation, and code generation of control systems using Simulink and Embedded Coder. Embedded Coder with MPLAB® 16-Bit Device Blocks for Simulink® provide additional support that includes automated build and execution, processor-optimized code, and the ability to perform processor-in-the-loop (PIL) tests with execution profiling.
