Virtual Commissioning with Simulink, Part 3

The final part of the Virtual Commissioning with Simulink series is all about hardware. First, a processor-in-the-loop (PIL) simulation is made with the generated Structured Text running on the PLC that is connected to the plant model in Simulink^® via OPC. In the last step, we generate C code out of the plant model and we use a real-time machine by Speedgoat to run that code against the PLC in hard real time.
