As an Inside Account Manager, for our Enterprise, Major, and Large Accounts, you will play a crucial role in the success of our Commercial Sales organization. This entails collaborating closely with Field Sales and Technical Engineers, forming a cohesive team with a shared strategy. Together, you will work towards identifying and resolving customers' technical and business challenges, ultimately accelerating the pace of engineering and science. 

Key Focus Areas: 

  • Collaboration: Work closely with Field Sales and Technical Engineers to form a cohesive team with a shared strategy. Collaborate on identifying and resolving customers' technical and business challenges to accelerate engineering and science processes. 
  • Workflow management: Utilize Salesforce to effectively manage the entire sales process, from qualification to closure, ensuring transparency and documentation of license and training opportunities in your territory. 
  • Revenue Growth: Drive revenue growth by cultivating relationships with end users, promoting wider adoption, and expanding usage of our products and services. 
  • Product Knowledge: Leverage comprehensive knowledge of our products, services, industries, and workflows to effectively promote and sell our solutions. 

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Account Planning: Actively contribute to the strategic planning process for key accounts by collaborating with Field Sales Representatives and Technical Engineers. Develop effective sales strategies to drive success. 
  • Sales and Adoption: Proactively prospect and identify new contacts and projects to expand the reach of our software. Demonstrate the value and benefits of our solutions to drive sales and encourage adoption among potential customers. 
  • Customer Skill Enhancement: Understand the specific needs and challenges of customers and establish their training requirements. Utilize our training offerings to enhance their skill levels, enabling them to maximize the benefits of our software and achieve their goals more effectively. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree and 4 years prior sales experience (or equivalent experience) is required.

Additional Qualifications

  • Sales experience: You should have prior experience in sales, including prospecting and developing accounts through digital selling methods 
  • Track record of success: Demonstrable success in meeting and surpassing revenue targets and sales metrics is crucial.  
  • Team-selling and collaboration: Strong teamwork and collaboration skills are essential. You should be comfortable working in a team-selling environment. 
  • Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are vital for effectively engaging with customers. Additionally, you should possess strong digital skills and meticulous attention to detail to ensure clear and accurate communication in various digital channels. 
  • Customer-focused mindset: A customer-centric approach is important, as you will be working closely with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions. Being highly responsive and collaborative will contribute to building strong customer relationships. 
  • Affinity to technology and innovation: Having an innate interest and affinity towards technology and innovation will allow you to effectively promote and position MathWorks software solutions to customers, showcasing the value they bring to their businesses. 
  • Language proficiency: Proficiency in both English and German at a business level is required (C1 Level German)
