In the MATLAB command line type 'guide' then GUIDE Quick Start menu will popup. Go the the 'Open Existing GUI' and there you should be able to see your recenly opened GUIs, file format is '*.fig'. Simply open the file and change whatever you want. Good Luck!

You should open the guide file of your GUI and change the position there.

How did you create this GUI file you are talking of? Didn't you use the GUIDE? If you go and type guide in command prompt it opens the GUIDE where you can make changes in your GUI. The name should be the same as the name of your GUI file.
