How to do template Matching between two images?

Hi,
I have two images one is a binary image and other is a rgb image. I want to apply template matching method between these images (first 1 will be a template image & 2nd is the original image) for matching. What should i do? Please describe about template of an image. Thanks in advance.

That's almost exactly what my demo of normalized cross correlation does. Turn your binary image into an RGB image
templateImage = cat(3, binaryImage, binaryImage, binaryImage);
Then run the m-file attached below the image.

Will it work on this image for blood vein matching?
its the original image:
Its the binary image:
And thanks for reply sir.
If those template occur in the image, but it looks like they don't. You'd at least have to extract just the red channel and invert your binary images even to give it a try.
This is the feature extracted image from the original image now i need to match this image with the original image for human identification . Is there other process i can apply for this type of matching.
I think you've asked this before and I said that I don't work in biometrics and referred you to VisionBib http://www.visionbib.com/bibliography/contentspeople.html#Face%20Recognition,%20Detection,%20Tracking,%20Gesture%20Recognition,%20Fingerprints,%20Biometrics There you will find algorithms infinitely better than whatever I would recommend.
I already did but they are using template matching between two images but i don't understand how do i create a template from my binary image?
I don't know, other than what I've already told you. Why don't you email the authors for further clarification?
