Problem Acquiring frames with image acquisition toolbox

Hello,

my name is Roy and I am using a Vieworks 2 megapixel 340fps and a Karbon pce-CL-2F framegrabber. I am trying to operate these parts using matlab's image acquisition toolbox and encountering a weired problem:

when I am acquiring small number of frames (say up to 1000) all works well, but when I try to acquire larger amounts I can see that the acquisition just get stuck on an image (say 683) and does not proceed to the next one.

when I check my video object in matlab I can see that the frames written to the disk are equal to those acquired - meaning it is not a problem of slow disk writing (as I initially thought).

any suggestions on what could be the problem?
