Hello.
I've updated to R2021b and the monospace font in the *.m files looks completely different to previous versions and to the same font if used in live scripts.
Is there an option to get the old monospace font back in R2021b?
this = "An example of how it should look!"

I know it is a very minor issue, but it bugs me to no end. :-/
Thanks.

There is likely a way to set this programmatically, however the easiest way to change the fonts is to click on Preferences, then in that window, Fonts and then Custom.

Hm, this didn't work for me.
I selected Preferences -> Fonts -> Custom -> Editor: monospaced
But it didn't change anything and it just looks different. Different to R2020b, different to the Matlab code in a live script (in R2021b) and even between the Command window and the Editor with a *.m file.
Really annoying but a total first world problem.
Thanks for your help anyway.

My pleasure!
That was my best guess at a solution.
It might be appropriate to Contact Support to see if there are any alternatives. I could have overlooked something since I do this only once with each new installation. In any event, it that is not an option, suggest that it becomes one in any follow-up communications with MathWorks on that topic.
