The MATLAB Editor in R2021b is less responsive for some Linux users. This can be seen with some basic operations like typing and scrolling, which can be noticeably slower than previous releases. How can I resolve this issue?

Disabling hardware acceleration is observed to resolve the latency issue. Try opening MATLAB using the '-cefdisablegpu' flag as follows.
$ matlab -cefdisablegpu

The MATLAB Editor for m files is slower for all users, because it is a different editor that is less optimized.

It doesn't make any difference. Still Editor and Documentation are slow as hell.
