GA tool for Ann Model?

Is it possible to use the GA optimization tool for the ANN model? If so, what fitness function should I use? I have used the nntool to build a neural network and I think I have some good results from this training and testing. Now, I want to build a hybrid Ann-ga model. I don't know how I can use the ga tool to help build it. Thank you.
