trying to set constant small buble size in bubblechart3 - vector s(:) - does change anything..

I understand that you are trying to make constant size bubble in bubblechart3.
The size parameter in “bubblechart3” does the relative sizing of bubbles, hence if you give all sizes same you will have large bubbles, which will not change based on your constant value.
To make the bubble size constant and make them smaller you can use "bubblesize" function in MATLAB.
Here is the sample code for achieving constant sized bubbles in “bubblechart3”:
x = rand(1,20);
y = rand(1,20);
z = rand(1,20);
sz = ones(20);
bubblechart3(x,y,z,sz);
bubblesize([1,5]);
