squaring values in a matrix

how would i get the squares of numbers counting from 1 to 100

This sounds like homework. What did you try so far?

So the problem is creating a matrix with 3x100. The first row must go from 3 to 203 in even increments( i figured out how to get that statement using a=3:2:203), the second row is supposed to be 100 zeros, i figured out how to do that. (used a2=zeroes(1,100)) now the third row is getting squares of numbers 1 to 100. I've tried testing using just 1 to 10 using things like a=1:1:10 & b= a^2. Ive also used a= 1:1^2:100. honestly I'm very new to this sort of stuff and am struggling
