How to implement road interactions/traffic light into driver scenario designer?

2 views (last 30 days)
Hello,
I want to simulate the difference in time it takes traffic to pass a junction compared to a roundabout. With the driver scenario designer tool I am able to create the junction with cars and their trajectories. However, I don't know how to add traffic lights to make the vehicles stop. Is this possible in the driver scenario designer tool? Would it also be possible to make them react to other vehicles to simulate basic traffic rules and stop if traffic is incoming.
When searching Mathworks I noticed there are a few topics for example 'Traffic light negotiation' and Motion planning in urban environments using dynamic occupancy grid map' but unfortunatley this did not clarify the steps I need to take to implement the traffic lights or interactions between vehicles.
Kind regards,
Nick

Hi Nick,
Looks like you want to add traffic lights to make the vehicles stop using the “Driving Scenario Designer” app.
Please refer to the following accepted MATLAB answers post which is the similar problem and has been answered by the staff.
In this post, they have provided a link which contains an example that shows how to design and test decision logic for negotiating a traffic light at an intersection. Please find the link below:
Hope it helps.
