How do I average individual values across multiple cells?

Hi,
I have a cell array with multiple cells. I would like to average the values inside of each cell with the values inside of all of the other cells.
So basically,
coeff_pre{1,1}(1,1) + coeff_pre{1,2}(1,1) + coeff_pre{1,3}(1,1) + coeff_pre{1,4}(1,1) + ...
coeff_pre{1,1}(2,1) + coeff_pre{1,2}(2,1) + coeff_pre{1,3}(2,1) + coeff_pre{1,4}(2,1) + ...
How would I do this?

This is one way:
% create an example cell array of numeric matrices
a = [10 20; 30 40];
CC = {a+randn(2,2) a+randn(2,2);
a+randn(2,2) a+randn(2,2)}
% find the mean
CCmean = mean(cell2mat(permute(CC(:),[2 3 1])),3)
Assuming that the cell contents are 2D arrays, the cell array can be vectorized along dim3. Converting to numeric ends up concatenating the cells on dim3.
If the cell contents are higher dimension arrays, you can still do the same thing, but you'd have to orient the array (and find the mean) along the next higher dimension.

I dont think I quite follow howthe permute function is used and how the last part (",[2 3 1])),3") work to be honest.
I have attached the cell array file I am working with. Could you maybe let me know how to proceed in my case?
