I'm not able to drag a script or function from Windows File Explorer and drop it on the open MATLAB editor and have the file open. I have to use the MATLAB menus to open the file or type
>> edit MyFile.m
at the MATLAB Command Window.
I also cannot drag and drop the file into the MATLAB Command Window to run the code.
The issue started appearing after I installed a MATLAB Update.

This can happen if the MATLAB process is being started by a different system user (administrator) than the Windows File Explorer (explorer.exe) process, so drag-and-drop is being blocked as a security measure.
The issue can be resolved by starting explorer.exe from the same terminal with the same admin privilege as matlab.exe.
