I downloaded the R2022b Matlab for Linux system, and tried to install it on the Fedora 36 Arm64 virtual machine from Parallel Desktop,
I ran command as below in the installation directory,
./install
and get the error
./install: line 292: /home/parallels/Downloads/matlab_R2022b_glnxa64/bin/linux-arm-64/install_unix_legacy: No such file or directory

Hi,
There are several issues that may have led to this error. Please look at the possible resolutions below:
  • To begin with, please ensure that the system requirements of your machine meet the necessary running specifications of MATLAB R2022b.
  • The error may have occurred because the installer is unable to locate the file ‘install_unix_legacy’. Please verify the directory in which you are running the command.
  • It is also likely that the installation files you downloaded are corrupt or were not downloaded completely. Try re-downloading the installation files from the MathWorks website and ensure that the download complete successfully.
Additionally, you can also refer to these MATLAB answers that cover a similar issue:
If the error persists, please reach out to the Installation and Licensing Support team:
Hope this helps!
