Help command does not work, it has 'matlab.internal.help.helpProcess' class destructor: Error using newline

I wanted to use the help command to look up the userguide, but it doesnt work and returns me a bunch of errors :(
Error as follow:

Error using newline
Too many output arguments.
Error in matlab.internal.help.helpProcess/displayHelp (line 22)

It sounds as if you have a third-party newline function, such as from a package such as pplane or spm12 .
Check using
which -all newline
if you see anything that is not built-in or inside a @ class definition, then it might be the interfering code.
