Can you link the time slider in Mechanics Explorer to the Slider in Data Inspector

I am trying to connect the time sliders present in the Mechanics explorer with the one in Data Inspector so that when the user moves either slider to a specific time, the position in the data and the video are syncronised (ideally in realtime).
Is this possible without using a third-party tool/program?
