I am trying to connect multiple USRP N200 simultaneously to the same system to use in MATLAB. However, It is not recognized by the system. My PC has 2 ethernet ports (10 and 5 Gbit). N-200 connects via a 10Gbit port but not by 5 Gbit. I have changed the IP of N-200, but it doesn't work. I have tried to use a router to make a local LAN to connect the PC to 2 N-200, but it did not work either. Is there any specific way to connect multiple N-200 in the PC and use it in MATLAB for simultaneous operation? What are the other options? Do I require any additional hardware? It will be very helpful for my experiment.

Hi Arhum Ahmad,
Based on the information, it seems that the USRP device is not been detected by your PC. It is possible to connect two USRP devices to the same PC. For using the N200 radio, you should have the following requirement.
  • Communications Toolbox
  • Communications Toolbox Support Package for USRP Radio
The support package installer prompts you while it installs drivers needed for the USRP Radio software. For more information on the topic, kindly refer the following links.

Hi Arhum Ahmad,
I understand you are encountering errors when setting up multiple USRP devices to a single host computer.
  1. With a one-host / two-USRP configuration, the IP address of one of the USRP devices must be changed away from its default of 192.168.10.2.To change the address of that second USRP2 device, you must use an Ettus tool, usrp_burn_mb_eeprom. Refer to the following link, http://files.ettus.com/uhd_docs/manual/html/usrp2.html#change-the-usrp2-s-ip-address
  2. Another alternative is to rebuild the entire UHD distribution (except FPGA and Firmware). Refer to the following link, https://files.ettus.com/manual/page_build_guide.html. You can confirm your setup by pinging each device and seeing that both USRPs are listed in the Simulink block IP Address parameter pulldown.
