GUIDE on Mac often pegs CPU

Hi everyone. Does anyone else run into a problem with GUIDE where it begins to peg the CPU? I'm not sure what the cause is. It seems to happen when I move a few objects around, especially a group of objects together. It does not happen after every move, but if I use GUIDE long enough, it will eventually peg the CPU.
The only fix is to close my GUIDE window and wait for the CPU to return to normal levels. I am on a mac, and it has been a problem with both 2011a and b, and even before them if I recall correctly. I keep Activity Monitor open, but usually don't pay attention and only realize something is wrong when I hear the fans go crazy. Thanks.

I think I remember seeing someone mention this before; I do not recall there being a resolution.
