Using mex level 2 s-function in m-file/script

Hi,
my question is whether I could use the mexw64-file in a script (m-file) environment in MATLAB, instead of SIMULINK? For instance, I've built a s-function from a SIMULINK subsystem, which generated the mexw64. I would like to call this from an m-file (with 4 input arguments as far I understand) - how would that syntax look like?
