hiding folder using command

how may i hide a folder containing some data using command itself.. either through visibility or something else...??

So if you are running windows, I assume system('attrib +s +h +r foldername') when you are in the directory containing the folder will help, or if you are using a unix based system, then all you need to do is to rename the requited folder with a . (period) before it, again by using system('mv foldername .foldername'). I've verified the unix version of this but I cannot do so for windows! Should work though! There is a native function which I just found out about in the other answer! :)
