Clean reinstall of Matlab R2023b on Ubuntu

A few days ago, I took advantage of my university's student license purchase and installed Matlab R2023b on both my laptop and my home desktop, both running Ubuntu 22.04. During the installation process, I couldn't choose the default initial folder, so I set /Home/my_name as the installation folder on both machines. In both cases, the installation process went smoothly. However, on my home desktop, due to graphics card issues, I had to reinstall Ubuntu, wiping everything in the process. After the reinstallation, I restored the old folders from the previous operating system in the Home directory and attempted to reinstall Matlab using the same installer I had used a few days before, but this time with a new initial folder on the desktop. The installation process crashed midway. Following that, I tried (unable to uninstall since I had no means) to reinstall Matlab by downloading it again from the official website and installing it in the /Home/my_name folder once more. This time, the installation seemed to be successful, but Matlab didn't have an icon, and the launcher couldn't be detected even after installing matlab-support. So, I'm not sure what to do now. Perhaps I need to find a way to uninstall everything cleanly and then reinstall from scratch. I can't find any information on this. My problem is that the last installation attempt didn't even get halfway. Please help me. I have a limited data connection, and this is the fourth time I've had to redownload it. I'm just consuming data this way. My desktop computer doesn't have Wi-Fi. I hope I only have to download it one more time. Thank you.

Without seeing a crash log file or getting more information about what happens when you try to launch MATLAB, I think this is going to be difficult or impossible to diagnose. I recommend contacting Technical Support directly using this link and working with the Support staff to investigate the cause of the installer crash and why MATLAB is not able to start.
