It appears that you are encountering an issue with connecting MATLAB 2023a to LEGO EV3 over WiFi, specifically with an error in the Telnet_IO.m file.
A similar issue was resolved for me by updating the Simulink Support Package for LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3 Hardware.
